make your tea date for middle of the afternoon, and then you won’t have
to have dinner! Places to have tea in Victoria The Empress Hotel is renowned for their Afternoon Tea. Prices can be well over $100 for two, but the ambiance is worth it. Also, checking for famous people at the other tables is considered a worthwhile people watching sport. Just don’t acknowledge that you know who they are...considered to be bad form in Victoria! For reservations: 1-800 441 1414 Our absolute favourite place to go is the White Heather Room. Once you hear Aggie’s laugh, you’ll know you’re in the right place. If her laugh doesn’t cheer you, the tea will. Priced at well under $20 per person, it’s worth it. Just ask for the “Big Muckle Tea” Don’t you love just saying it?
